How to Measure
Read Before Buying
Step 1
Remove your old HVAC grille and measure your register box cutout. For example, if you measure 6" x 12", you will order the RBF-SMT-0612.
Step 2
The neck dimensions of the new grille will be slightly less than this measurement. For example, for the 6" x 12" size, the neck dimensions are 5.1" x 12.15". This allows for easier installation in tighter register boxes.
Step 3
Depending on the age of home and the workmanship of the HVAC installation, slight modification may be required for a smooth fit. This is easy to do on each register box by filing any overspray and straightening the register box.
Step 4
The face dimensions on each grille provide ample coverage of the imprint of the old grille, however some may show outside the grille depending on the old grille dimensions.
